Thank you for your consideration. I am running for Secretary/Treasurer for ATU 1177. The date of the election is June 18, 2021. I have been a bus operator since April 2015 and have had my CDL for 23 years. I have 14 + years of secretarial experience.
Previously, I worked as an Information Technology Secretary for Portsmouth Public Schools. In this position, I covered secretarial work for the Office of Information Technology, Office of Instructional Technology, and Library Media Services. I created purchase requisitions, tracked all department spending, and managed instructional technology purchases for every library for Portsmouth Public Schools (20 libraries in total). I also captured meeting minutes to prepare for distribution throughout the department. I have collected membership dues for the Library Sunshine committee, prepared deposits, receipts, and financial reports, and I have a certificate for training in best practices for procurement procedures for the Commonwealth of Virginia.
